Air Travel Nightmare

The latest blast of cold winter weather has had a serious impact on air travel at major airports in British Columbia. All flights between Fort St. John and Vancouver have been cancelled.

In what airport officials are calling ‘an unprecedented impact on flights and operations’, Vancouver International Airport has seen mass cancellations of flights. This is expected to continue though the day and the week ahead affecting flights from most airports in Western Canada.

Travellers are asked to check with their airline directly for the status of their flights and to please not come to YVR if you do not absolutely need to. Airport officials offer their sincerest apologies to all those impacted and will provide further information as it becomes available.
